Following is an outline of the family tree of the Descendants of Johannes Butz through the 6th generation. It is
by no means complete. This is just the bare bones outline. The complete tree now includes 185 individuals and is growing
daily. I do not publish details of living individuals. I am a descendent of Walter Henry Butz who was born in
Reading, Pennsylvania on April 13, 1880. His parents were Henry Butz and Mary Davies (married in 1879). Searches:
1) According to an Aunt (living), Walter told her that he and his "half-brother" were temporarily placed in the Reading
School For Boys when his father died in 1886 because their mother could not afford to care for them. There were no sons
from Henry's previous marriage young enough to have been placed in the school with Walter and the name of this
"half-brother" does not show up in the 1880 census. I believe that the brother must have been the son of Mary Davies
from a previous marriage. 2) I am interested in any information on the descendents of Walter's sisters: Laura May Butz
Steely; Bertha Davies Butz Sassaman; and Emma Louise Butz (may have been a spinster). 3) Descendents of Walter
Henry Butz and Clara Edna Martin, who had nine children: Marjorie Alice; Walter Albert; Harold Vincent; Horace
Clement; Mary Elizabeth; Dorothy May; Robert; Edward; and Clara Edna.
